Job Description

Under the guidance of the Program Manager, the Coordinator – CEJA, will ensure the full participation and engagement of CCRPC in the CEJA Hub as a consortium partner and report on outcomes and respond efficiently and effectively to individuals and families who have participated in local CEJA programs by providing prompt assessment and connection to employment services that best fit their needs. Other duties include supporting Career Coaches with providing employment services to CEJA participants and ensure employment of participants.

 

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and a minimum of three years of direct client service experience; combination of education, training, and experience in the field may be considered.
  • Ability to pass criminal background check.
  • Strong background in customer service and human services with program’s target population. Preference given to those who have experience with workforce development or career services programs.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to visit partners, employers, and participants.
  • Ability to follow program procedures while adjusting work style to meet the needs of the client.
  • Possess knowledge and passion for employability and career services skills.
  • Experience utilizing motivational interviewing techniques.
  • Understands steps to implement to work toward gainful employment for individuals lacking employment history.
  • Commitment to become a subject-matter expert on CEJA and the Champaign-area Hub.
  • Knowledge of public assistance programs, including eligibility and application process.
  • Ability to attend community meetings, provide program information at community meetings, and collect and share relevant meeting information with team.
  • Knowledge and respect for diverse cultures/lifestyles and problems of poverty in the community.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to accommodate client scheduling needs including evenings and weekends.
Summary

Schedule:  8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., M-F (Flexibility is necessary to support the goals of the program.)

Status: Full-Time/37.5 hours per week

 

Starting Hourly Wage:  $22.51 - $24.00
