Job Description
Zurich (Schaumburg, IL) seeks an Application Delivery Manager to coach and mentor a team of visualization developers and offshore ETL resources to foster rapport with Product Owners regarding visualization efforts and ensure proper resource allocation is available for future work efforts. Specific duties include: adapting and applying different delivery methodologies determining the best methodology for the specific project; planning, conducting / facilitating workshops to elicit functional requirements from the Business and ensures deliverables are met; producing requirement specifications and outlining solution design documents throughout the project life cycle; partnering with Business, IT and vendor teams to ensure the delivered configuration/product meets quality standards and business needs; leveraging existing Zurich’s business process, organizational and technology capabilities and be able to integrate Guidewire Policy Center to the Zurich Application landscape; serving as a subject matter expert; providing explanations and expertise regarding as-is / to-be models as part of the requirements elicitation process; collaborating with project manager to build Business Case; analyzing and managing requirement risk, traceability matrix and prioritizing requirements; participating in development of test plan, testing, implementation and training activities; participating in post implementation activities; and participating in root cause analysis in case expected benefits are not achieved. Position requires Scrum Master certificate. Option to work remotely is available.
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or a closely related field of study, 6 years of experience in the job offered, or as a Project Manager, or similar position in the Application Design and Development area. Must have 5 years of experience working with each of the following: Data Visualization/Business Intelligence development in Power BI; SQL; Data Architecture; and ETL including analysis, design, development, testing and production support for data pipelines. Must also have 3 years of experience leading agile scrum teams. Must be a certified Scrum Master. Option to work remotely is available.
