Job Description

Impossible Foods is looking for a talented individual to join our growing team and help us scale for the future, in a fast-paced environment that's growing rapidly. In this role, you will assist in the financial and management reporting processes including preparation of the financial statements and footnote disclosures. You will also support quarterly reviews and the annual audit, build management reports, and research, interpret, and implement accounting issues and new standards, as well as work on various process improvement projects for the growing accounting organization. This role is an individual contributor who will directly report to the Senior Manager - Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting.

Essential Job Functions:

    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and disclosures for external and internal reporting.
    • Work with the accounting and finance team to prepare materials used for monthly close meetings, audit committee meetings, disclosure committee meetings, and other presentations.
    • Assess the financial statement and disclosure impact of complex transactions and support the corporate accounting team to ensure proper accounting.
    • Prepare the quarterly and annual GAAP disclosure checklists.
    • Monitor current developments in accounting literature to resolve appropriate accounting treatment for critical accounting issues and identify any changes in accounting policies, as needed.
    • Read and interpret accounting guidance and write memos on technical accounting topics.
    • Work cross-functionally with other groups to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements.
    • Work proactively with external auditors to drive timely closure of technical accounting matters.
    • Assist with interim and year-end audit requests.



Basic Qualifications:

    • 4-6 years of experience required including experience at a Big 4 accounting firm
    • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, technical accounting, and financial statement presentation
    • Experience with high-growth companies or public filers a plus
    • Strong written, oral communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability and willingness to meet reporting critical deadlines
    • Strong time management and organizational skills
    • BA/BS Degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA required



Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with SAP S4/Hana and Workiva is a plus
    • Advanced Excel and analytical skills



$88,500 - $162,500 a year

This U.S. based, full-time position offers the above base salary range + equity + benefits + bonus for sales incentive plan roles. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
