As an intern, you will help develop our industry-leading electromagnetic simulation software while gaining real experience in your field of study.You will work on a variety of impactful projects to help maintain, advance, and accelerate ANSYS products. In this internship, you will support ourElectronics team. This is a 40-hour per week paid position starting January2025and concluding April2025. The student is required to be in-office/Flex in the Ansys Evanston, IL office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop Python-based pre/post-processing tools for existing ray-tracing solvers, with emphasis on radar scenarios.
Develop prototypes or test new solution strategies or algorithms.
Work alongside research engineers during the design, implementation, and verification process.
Determine best practices when applying electromagnetic simulation software to solve challenging industrial problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pursuing a BS orMSin Electrical Engineeringor related technical degree..
Currently enrolled in a full-time degree program and returning to university after the completion of the internship program.
Experience inMATLAB, Python, and/or C++.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in electromagnetic field theory and numerical techniques.
Familiarity with ray tracing and radar signal processing
Self-motivated individual with ability to pick new projects and technology development effort from scratch.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
