Job Description

Join our dynamic production team as a General Production Worker, where you will be a crucial ‘utility person’ supporting operators and other production associates. Your responsibilities will include loading steel bars on packaging machines, operating machines, wrapping steel with bands, attaching shipping labels, cutting steel to specific customer requirements, and monitoring operations. This role may also involve operating forklifts, machines, and cranes, requiring high attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and production standards.

Hard Skills

+ Mechanical aptitude

+ Ability to read a tape measure

+ Experience with forklift, machine, and crane operation

+ Ability to lift 50lbs and over consistently

Job Type

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Rockford, Illinois.

Work Environment

Shifts vary, with options for first, second, or third shift. The work environment is not climate controlled, located within a large campus featuring multiple buildings. Dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, and appropriate shirts depending on weather conditions.
