Description:

-Facilitate new product development process which will include: schedules, engineering calculations and designs, specifications, testing, BOMs, cost estimates, experiment design, prototypes, and transfer to initial production parts. -Contribute to customers interactions on product design, styling and engineering requirements while ensuring manufacturability. -Select material(s) and designs to meet customer functional needs while balancing manufacturing requirements. -Technical support resource to sales organization in areas of materials, construction methods, design, and testing. -Utilize design software to generate drawings/models based on design requirements. -Execute transfer of new products to operations, working cross-functionally with quality, supply chain, sales, manufacturing, and other disciplines. -Update and maintain product information and specifications for existing products in an ISO 9001 environment. -Collaborate with Operations to troubleshoot existing products and processes -Create and maintain records of product development activities. -Diversity: Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results. -Limited travel may be required for training and/or trade show attendance (

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

-Minimum of 3+ years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment -Education: bachelor’s degree preferred in an Engineering or Science field of study or 10 years of experience in related industry. -Experience interfacing with customers to clarify design needs/requirements and facilitate project progression with limited management involvement. -Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, across job functions with Sales, Machine Operators, Assemblers, Engineers, Executive Management, and Purchasing. -Accurate and detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize projects and effectively plan the use of resources with limited involvement from management. -Demonstrate high level of written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to communicate information, ideas, procedures, test results and processes both internally and externally. -Experience managing projects from concept to completion. -Involvement/Exposure with ASHRAE, ISO, IEST, AHAM, NIOSH, ASTM, EN1822, AFS, UL, FDA organizations and/or other standard bodies. -Familiarity with CAD, nesting software, project management, and ERP/MRP software. -Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. -Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access. -Preferred background in filtration principles, materials, and design.
