Description:

This position assists the Supervisor of Quality Control in the support of manufacturing by performing testing, analysis, documentation, and recommendations on all manufacturing processes including welding, materials, and chrome, as well as assisting the Supervisor in training of hourly personnel and 5s/Safety Patrols. This position is to provide recommendations for reducing rework, and increasing production throughput. This position is also responsible for maintaining, and revising all quality control ISO 9000 & ISO 14001 processes, procedures, and maps associated with the above process. Will measure and document length of the weld and defects.

This position is responsible for developing, documenting, and analyzing ultrasonic weld rejections. This activity involves 400 frames a year for a value of approximately 40 million dollars and is critical to allow KAC to offer 60,000-hour frame warranties. Provide reports of trends of increased defective welds (cost of $6.25 per inch), recommends countermeasures, and implementation schedules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Requirements:

- Manufacturing Weld experience

- Factory floor experience

- Seasoned experience as an inspector – 2-3 years minimum

- High School Diploma/GED – Associate’s preferred

- Ultrasonic Inspection level 2 certification would be great!
