Job Title: Control Panel Wirer

Job Description

This position is responsible for the wiring and final assembly of panel boards related to low and medium voltage switchgears. The role involves electrical controls panel wiring, following wiring diagrams and schematics, installing pre-wired panels into control boxes, terminating wiring based on schematics, diagnosing issues, and understanding blueprints and schematic drawings to determine wiring layout. Additionally, responsibilities include inspecting parts for defects to ensure quality, ensuring proper protective equipment is worn at all times, and using tools or equipment appropriately based on the task. Regular in-person attendance is essential.

Hard Skills

+ Electrical controls panel wiring

+ Mechanical assembly skills

+ Usage of hand and power tools

+ Knowledge of electrical symbols and schematics

+ Basic computer skills

+ Basic math functions including understanding of fractions and decimals

+ Ability to take direction and follow instructions

+ Ability to work collaboratively with others

+ English fluency sufficient to facilitate department huddles, collaborate with engineers and project managers, and assign duties to team members

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Franklin Park, Illinois.

Work Environment

The facility is a medium-sized facility with 60 employees where everything from fabrication, welding, wiring, and assembly is done. The facility is clean, new, and modernly designed with comfortable temperatures.
