Job Description

Oversees the operations of the non-financial post award activities and is responsible for the negotiation, approval and establishment of all sponsored programs awards and contracts. Review and negotiates awards and contracts according the terms and conditions as per sponsor requirements. Ensures that all University sponsored program awards and contracts are reviewed consistent with University policies and procedures. Records all information in University grant management systems. Serves as the primary liaison with the Office of the General Counsel, Director. Works collaboratively with the Director, Pre-Award Services, Research Administrative Services and Director, Grant and Contract Accounting.
Manages the preparation of subcontracts and other research related contract agreements as needed. Works with the Director, Grant and Contract accounting on compliance related issues such as final reporting and closeouts.
Provides leadership and overall guidance to the Sponsored Research and Programs – Post Awardoffice faculty, staff and students with grant and contract awards; assigns tasks for the offices and monitors task performances. To ensure that the University is adhering to compliance guidelines as it relates to grants and contracts. Authorized Institutional Official.
