Wieland is hiring a Foundry Buyer. The Foundry Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials to support Wieland North America's foundry and recycling requirements. This role can be located in Montpelier, OH or Granite City, IL and will be fully on-site. While this role is local, occasional travel to other locations will be required (25% travel). 

Responsibilities

Foundry Buyer Responsibilities:
Purchase materials to support Wieland North America's foundry and recycling requirements
Work closely with commercial teams across various verticals within Wieland, such as; electronics, industrial manufacturing services, wholesale trading and supply to operations
Expand Wieland's footprint in the recycling space, support execution of our strategic business growth, culture & safety excellence and our commercial strategy.
Engage in sourcing activities of recycled materials for existing foundries and support Wieland's broader strategy, financial objectives, and sustainability initiatives
Participate in the development and execution of strategic sourcing and trading for Wieland's recycling business unit
Enhance Wieland's presence in the market by expanding current and new business streams
Work with management to refine KPI's and maintain a world class commercial team
Foundry Buyer Qualifications:
B.S. degree in business or technical related discipline
2-5 years of broad metals related experience including procurement, trading, and hedging. Opportunities for more senior candidates are available also.
Confident and effective negotiator
Willing to travel as needed to foster and maintain customer relationships
Ability to set direction, lead and develop a team and live Wieland values
Ability to lead by example; training, priority management, problem solving, effective communication, conflict resolution
Strong computer skills with an emphasis on spreadsheet applications and Power point presentations
