Job Description
Position: Pre- Make Ready
Location: Elk Grove, IL
Starting Wage: $20.44/hr + $2.00 shift differential
Shift: 5:45PM - 6:15AM; 12-hour continental shift 3 days one week, 4 days the following, off every other weekend.

While reporting to the Shift Manager, you will be responsible for Operation of Solvent Recovery Unit. Excellent attendance is crucial for the team to achieve success. You must have a proven record of success in a fast-paced environment. You must have the ability to work with solvents, etc. You will take pride in your personal hands-on and, organizational skills and attention to detail.
What you will be doing:
Pull out empty ink drums
Change solvent filters
Assist Ink Techs as needed
o Moving Drums
o Stripping Plates
o Prepare hazardous waste for shipments weekly
o Clean Twin Locks
o Staging Jobs
o Clean and prepare parts for printing presses as needed
o Staging Drum
Operation of Press Anilox Cleaning Unit
Inspection of Press Anilox Rollers
Maintain documentation that shows the anilox roller cell volumes are within specifications and communicate with Press Dept. Mgr. when they cannot be brought into spec.
Record keeping and documentation on distill batches on a shift basis
Regular, consistent attendance and punctuality are essential to the job.
Report all food safety violations to management.
Other duties as assigned
Participate in Sonoco's Performance System (SPS) activities as required - 5Star, Pillar Teams, Audits, Near Misses, etc.
