Quality Control Technician

Job Description:

+ Support production with food safety and quality related troubleshooting

+ Train and coach employees on GMP, HACCP, food safety and food quality standards

+ Participate in internal quality audits

+ File and follow up on vendor complaints

+ Manage and contain non-conforming product

+ Maintain and improve HACCP and production records

+ Calibrate equipment to ensure food safety and product quality

+ Implement USDA, FDA, and relevant international regulatory and customer compliance

+ Conduct sensory evaluation of products and ingredients

+ Conduct swab testing on production surfaces

+ Project work

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

+ Bachelors degree in Food Science, Chemistry or Biology or related science degree

+ Previous experience in the food industry is a plus

+ Knowledge of food safety programs, i.e. HACCP, Preventive Controls and GMPs is preferred, but not required

+ Microsoft Excel

+ Strong Communication skills

+ Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus, not required
