Position Summary
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as OIG Investigator in the Office of Inspector General. Under direction, this position will perform highly responsible, confidential intake and investigative work concerning cases of allegations and/or incidents of misconduct, misfeasance, malfeasance, or violations of rules, procedures, agreements, or law by an employee, foster parent, service provider, or contractor of DCFS, as well as cases of child death and serious physical injury. Job Responsibilities- Performs highly responsible, confidential intake and investigative work concerning cases of allegations and/or incidents of misconduct, misfeasance, malfeasance, or violations of rules, procedures, agreements, or law by an employee, foster parent, service provider, or contractor of DCFS, as well as cases of child death and serious physical injury
- Coordinates the retrieval of and reviews all relevant confidential impounded and subpoenaed records
- Conducts or oversees OIG investigations of facilities licensed by DCFS
- Coordinates the implementation of OIG recommendations with Department divisions, including Quality Assurance, Licensing, Internal Audits, and Contract Administration.
- Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
