Schedule/Location: This is a flex / hybrid position. Part of your work week will be onsite based at our Lake Forest office. The remainder of the week you'll be working remotely from home.
As a Card Operations Specialist you will assist members with reports of debit card fraud or disputes by leveraging various systems. Performing research to resolve member inquiries, disputes, verify lost, stolen, or fraudulent cases, and complete the necessary documentation for the account. You'll work with many areas of the business, including the Business Intelligence, Fraud, and Risk teams.
Main Responsibilities:
Reviewing, investigating, and processing debit fraud and disputes while keeping close communication with our members on status updates. Providing account credits/debits when necessary and reporting to agencies. Submitting claims to card processor, VISA and insurance as part of the process.
Providing members with information and directions regarding their account status, requests, payments, rights, and obligations associated with their accounts.
Processing card applications including setting up card accounts, ordering cards, creating cardholder files, updating, and tracking card applications.
Interacting with members and performing research on inquiries such as reviewing transactions, payments, and account history by leveraging various systems.
Providing support to internal teams by answering questions and confirming information in order to keep members promptly informed. Communicating with other departments such as Business Intelligence (BI), Fraud and Risk in order to identify trends and root causes.
Preparing and completing scheduled and ad hoc reports to inform other departments and management of necessary action(s) relevant to their areas.
What you'll need to join the team:
High School Diploma or GED - Minimum
2+ years' experience in Banking, Call Center, Financial Services, Card/Loan Servicing or Related - Minimum
A self-starter with the ability to work independently
Able to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is required
Proficiency with computer systems/software applications
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work Monday through Friday: 8:30AM - 5:30PM
