Position Details:
The primary goal of the Data Enablement team is to ensure data availability and governance, analytics support for various Grainger teams, business applications development and ongoing maintenance. The leader of the Data Enablement team will be responsible for managing strategy and stakeholder relationships, as well as spearheading process improvement initiatives and pipelining (Cl/CD) and collaborating with Grainger teams to support application development architecture.

The Data Enablement team is responsible for: Advancing Governance, Cloud ETL, Security and Documentation, as well as building and deploying flawless applications.

You will report to the Director, Reporting & Analytics.

You Will:
Develop and enforce systems for managing Frameworks for Information Governance, Work Intake, and Solution Builds

Jira/GitHub/Confluence tools as a central workflow resource for the teams

Establish Cl/CD for tool deployments

Build Frameworks and Enforce Governance across all applicable platforms

You Have:

Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics or Data Engineering

3+years experience in Data Engineering, Master Data Management, Data Enablement or Digital Content Strategies and App Development

AWS

Experience with business operations and B2B

Technology experience in Customer Information, Data Governance and Analytics, and data quality technologies

Progressive thinking on approaches to Data Enablement

History working with large datasets, ontologies, metadata management, and data models

MS Power Platform, Python, Jira, GitHub, Confluence experience required

MS, MIS, or Data Analytics education or equivalent

3 to 7 years experience in Data Engineering, Master Data Management, Data Enablement or Digital Content Strategies and App Development

1-5 years managing a team of individual contributors or leaders is a plus

Experience with business operations and B2B

Technology experience in Customer Information, Data Governance and Analytics, and data quality technologies

Progressive thinking on approaches to Data Enablement

History working with large datasets, ontologies, metadata management, and data models

MS Power Platform, Python, Jira, GitHub, Confluence experience required

Position can be based in Lake Forest (hybrid, 3 days a week onsite) or remote for out of state candidates with quarterly travel to Lake Forest.
