SUMMARY
The Senior Events Specialist will develop, manage, and evolve event strategies for small to mid-sized events. This position works closely to build relationships with key program stakeholders including product marketing managers, industry marketing managers, product managers, support teams, and sales to align strategies and ensure a cohesive approach to marketing event efforts. The primary objectives of the role are demand generation, account penetration, maximizing existing usage, and building industry influence through successful event execution and understanding of key industry trends, strategic market opportunities, and organizational priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Event Strategy: Develop and execute comprehensive event plans for the entire event lifecycle, from ideation to post-event reporting, that align with our marketing objectives, target audience, and overall brand strategy.

Budget Management: Take ownership of event budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost-effectiveness throughout the planning and execution process.

Vendor Management: Source and negotiate with vendors, including event venues, booth builders, catering services, AV teams, and other suppliers, to ensure high-quality event experiences within budget constraints.

Event Execution: Oversee all aspects of event logistics, including setup, registration, booth staffing coordination, and troubleshooting, to ensure flawless execution and a positive attendee experience.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various internal teams, such as product marketing, field marketing, creative, and sales, to ensure alignment and cohesion across all marketing initiatives and maximize the impact of events.

Event Presence: Be the face of our company at various events, engaging attendees with enthusiasm and knowledge about our products and services. Demonstrate a deep understanding of our offerings and the value they bring to customers.

Post-event Reporting and Analysis: Evaluate event performance, gather feedback, and analyze data to provide comprehensive reports that measure the success of events against set KPIs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Event Planning, Hospitality Tourism Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Proven track record 4-6 years of successful event management, preferably in a publicly traded technology company.

Ability to travel extensively around the United States for up to 25% of the year.

Ability to carry up to 50 lbs

Strong budget management skills with experience in efficiently allocating resources, creating estimated budgets, and tracking actual expenses.

Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation communication and skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging event/promotional messaging.

Demonstrated success in driving lead generation and achieving measurable results from event marketing event efforts.

Excellent project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Experience in content creation, including copywriting and design for event materials.

Proficiency in event management software and CRM systems for lead tracking and reporting.

Highly creative, detail-oriented, and resourceful problem solver.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CMP Certification
Located in or ability to work Eastern or Central Time Zone hours
Experience with event technology such as Cvent, Captello, VFairs, etc.
