Job Summary

As the Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for working with business stakeholders to design and build visual reports and dashboards using modern Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI.

Job Description

We are looking for a Power BI Developer to work with business stakeholders to design and build visual reports and dashboards using modern Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI. This position will be full-time and hybrid.

What You’ll Do

+ Work with business stakeholders to design and build visual reports and dashboards using modern Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI

+ Power BI development and administration

+ Utilize Power BI, Power Query, DAX, SQL, Power BI gateway, and administrative work

+ Work with business users to continuously improve existing dashboards, reports, and datasets

+ Understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources

+ Support this platform’s build-out using Power BI as the tool for dashboards and operational reporting

+ Enable business partners to leverage Business Intelligence tools for their analytical needs

+ Other assigned duties

What You’ll Need

Required:

+ 3+ years of experience with Power BI development, visualizations, and deployment

+ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, Statistics, or equivalent

+ 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft BI stack, including TSQL, Power BI, Power Query, DAX, M, MDX and, SSAS, SSRS, SSIS

+ 3+ years of experience with configuration / management of Microsoft Power BI Service Experience extracting, manipulating, and analyzing data via Dataflows, DataMart’s, Dashboards and Apps to recommend and/or take action

+ Demonstrated SQL development experience by writing queries and procedures and using functions to create curated data for use in reporting

+ Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills

+ 2 years of experience documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows

+ Must be detail oriented, and able to work independently and self-prioritize tasks

+ 3+ years of demonstrated experience in working with relational databases: SQL Server

Preferred:

+ Advanced level of MS Excel skills with knowledge of functions, macros, and VBA programming is preferred

+ Ability to anticipate and proactively handle issues

+ Ability to adhere to SDLC standards

+ Strong problem-solving skills

+ Possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as exceptional analytical and time management capabilities

+ Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term support objectives

+ Ability to successfully facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, IT teams, departments and levels

+ Exhibit unwavering honesty and integrity

Physical Demands

+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
