Center for Prevention Research and Development (CPRD)

Job Summary
For the Center for Prevention Research and Development (CPRD), within the University of Illinois' School of Social Work, works on a team that is conducting the evaluation of the home visiting projects in Illinois. Serves as coordinator and manager of team activities, communication, documentation, and logistics for calls/meetings/presentations with external partners. Works with local MIECHV and state funded program sites to oversee the implementation of an annual home visiting workforce survey.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Data Collection Implementation, Review, and Communication

o Coordinate, manage, and implement the annual home visiting workforce survey, which seeks feedback to better understand the needs of the Illinois home visiting workforce.

o Collaborate with home visiting team members to revise and update the annual survey with topics pertinent to the current environment and to address further needs.

o Collaborate with data services team members to design the survey in Qualtrics and track completion rates.

o Collaborate with data analyst team members to develop a data analysis plan for the survey and review and understand statistical results.

o Collaborate with team members to summarize survey results and develop research briefs and reports for communication of findings to a variety of audiences, including home visiting program sites, funders, and partners.

• Project Organization, Coordination, and Management

o Serve as a project coordinator, managing research activities including the development of weekly meeting agendas and notes, internal and external communication, and monitoring funder requests.

o Coordinate the planning and logistics of internal and external meetings, trainings, and presentations by overseeing scheduling, communication, and logistics.

o Develop and organize documentation of file server, project notes, reports, manuals, and presentations.

o Develop and monitor project timelines for meeting deliverables.

o Form mutually beneficial partnerships with project funders and serve as the point of contact with them.

• Collaborate with Team Members to Meet Research Goals

o Work collaboratively with other team members.

o Partner with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.

o Other duties and responsibilities appropriate for this Research Program Specialist position.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood, Organizational Development, Human Services, Social Work, Public Health, or related social science field, and 2+ years of experience working with/coordinating health or human service projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data collection and analysis as well as ability to use Excel and graphic layout programs (e.g., Canva).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the evaluation of prevention and early intervention programs; content knowledge of health and human services with a substantive understanding of early childhood and/or home visiting programs; excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work in team environment; knowledgeable about working with diverse populations and cultures (e.g., race/ethnicity, class, gender); knowledge of working in an applied research setting; excellent interpersonal, time management, organization and solution-focused skills.

Appointment Information

This is a 100% full-time Academic Professional position, appointed on a 12-month basis. The expected start date is as soon as possible after the search closes. Hybrid work may be considered for this position. The minimum of the salary range for this position is $51,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity. Sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position.
