Position Highlights:
Location: Elmhurst Business Operations Center Elmhurst, IL
Full Time - 40 hours
Hours: M-F M-F 10:30am - 7:00pm
What you will need:
Required:
A minimum of one year of industrial laundry experience
A valid driver's license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location. If the incumbent uses their personal vehicle, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law and evidence of such coverage may be requested.
Preferred:
High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), troubleshooting electrical and mechanical devices
Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and wiring diagrams
Universal EPA Certification

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Repairs and conducts preventative maintenance of new and existing electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment within the facility. Selects appropriate tools, materials, and supplies, shuts down electrical circuits, water flow as appropriate. Notifies appropriate personnel of difficult and/or complex problems or situations.
2. Notifies laundry leadership team whenever it becomes necessary to interrupt service to initiate emergency repair of equipment or facilities.
Operates and maintains high pressure boilers, A/C chillers, cooling towers and related plant equipment. Performs proper chemistry tests at the start of assigned shift as appropriate. Ensures all work is accomplished in a professional manner.
Monitors critical alarms via pager and facility management system as assigned. Responds to alarms, investigates source of alarms, repairs condition, calls vendor and communicates with laundry leadership team. Records information into daily operating log.
Monitors machine status throughout the day.
Requests materials and supplies as needed to support stock levels. Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
Execute work orders within a reasonable time.
Completes and submits all work order request forms, activity reports and miscellaneous forms necessary to maintain department specific record files.
Identifies major problems, initiates corrective action, and communicates situation to appropriate management personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned by laundry Management.
