Job Summary
The department of Sociology and Criminal Justice is looking for an adjunct or multiple instructors to teach classes including the Sociology of Work and multiple sections of Introductory Sociology.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until suitable candidates are identified.
Essential Functions
Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching.
Responsibilities for this adjunct faculty position include course preparation, teaching, grading and being available to students who have questions or require extra help.
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Sociology, Social Work, or a related field.
A keen interest in engaging students and fostering their learning.
Preferred Qualifications
PhD preferred
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
