Job Summary
Elmhurst University seeks part-time faculty to teach selected undergraduate or graduate courses offered by the Computer Science and Information Systems Department. Classes are offered ether in-person or in a hybrid format at various times during the day and evening. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching.
Essential Functions
Teach 1 to 3 sections in an active term
Course preparation, teaching and grading
Available to students who have questions or require extra help
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other teaching-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
Additional professional experience required for candidates teaching master's courses
Prior teaching experience and demonstrated commitment to working with a diverse student body and contributing positively to an inclusive campus community
Preferred Qualifications
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Employee is subject to indoor work, protected from weather conditions. Work is sedentary in nature and involves exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently/constantly in order to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move object.
