Job Description
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and process accounts payable and receivable.
Financial Record Maintenance:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Ensure strict compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.
Transaction Processing:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and in a timely manner.
- Efficiently handle invoices, payments, and receipts.
Bank Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and financial statements.
Collaboration and Auditing:
- Collaborate with auditors to address queries and ensure a smooth audit process.
- Review and analyze accounting records, providing insights and recommendations.
Data Analysis and Compliance:
- Collect and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies.
- Stay current with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
Accuracy Checks and Resolutions:
- Review and check the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings made by other workers.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in financial records.
Recommendations and Process Improvements:
- Provide recommendations for process improvements to enhance efficiency.
- Advise on systems of recording costs or other financial and budgetary data.
Technology Utilization:
- Utilize accounting software for data entry, reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Use Microsoft Office (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook) and QuickBooks for various tasks.
