Job Description

Summary/Objective

This position’s most critical objective is to maintain and develop accurate sales proposals, cost estimates, and post-sale documentation for the InCompass Custom Channel capital equipment solutions, incorporating cross-functional team involvement in the areas of pricing, costing, technical proposals, and sales documentation.  This position provides support for all InCompass Custom Channel new and CNC remanufactured machine tools including machines under the Bourn & Koch and Mollart brands to meet sales objectives. 

 

Essential Functions

  • Researches and provides costing and pricing information for the creation of technical quotations and detailing of requirements for machine tool solutions, along with machine tooling and optional equipment and/or software for new and remanufactured machine tools.
  • Follows established procedure to validate and develop costs for new and CNC remanufactured machine tools. Develops and updates standard cost estimates on a regular basis or as directed.
  • Develops costs for specific machine tool product product/service solutions, interfacing with the new machine sales staff, engineering staff, operations staff, and applications staff as required to gain input and approval for material and labor related costs along with technical descriptions.
  • Work as a facilitator between new machine sales staff, engineering staff, and operations staff during sales estimating and costing process.
  • Assists in the making of technical presentations and formal technical quotations for all aspects of new and remanufactured machine products.
  • Assists sales staff in reviewing customer technical specifications (i.e. customer specifications, government bids, technical bid documents) for use in creating cost estimates and quotations to meet the stated customer requirements.
  • Prepares sales reports and manages new machine sales CRM as directed.
  • Reviews purchase orders and contract terms as required.
  • Reviews and confirms contract specifications in acknowledgment prior to issuance of written acknowledgment of receipt of order. Delivers machine acknowledgement to proper customer contact.
  • Processes new machine sales orders and documents all aspects of post-sales process.
  • Directly works with potential and current customers as directed.

Work Environment:  Normal office environment, with occasional exposure to shop conditions.

Physical Demands: Normal office environment, with limited lifting requirements.

Percentage of Travel Required (If Applicable): 10-25%

Required Education & Experience: Required HS Diploma and metalworking equipment or capital equipment related work experience.

Preferred Education & Experience: Preferred education BA/BS or 5 years of trade school. Technical experience with custom engineered products, gun drilling, gear manufacturing and/or precision grinding machine tools is a plus. Experience with Salesforce or other cloud-based CRM systems is a plus.

Additional Eligibility Requirements: Visual acuity, accommodation as required for reading computer screens and documents.  Job related training as specified in Employee Training Record/Summary, for this position, as required to fill skills gap.
