Your Role at Baxter

Applies a solid understanding of problem-solving theories/practices to support the medical device service processes. Partners with Service Operations and Global Service Quality to ensure requirements are met and supports regional or local service deliverables and infrastructure required for new product introduction in service or process improvements.

What you'll be doing
Represents Quality within the Technical Services projects on new product development and/or lifecycle management teams. Projects typically include the implementation of new or improved processes, tools, techniques, computer systems and procedures
Performs quality assessments associated with Change Control Management, Out of Tolerance Calibrations, or other issues identified during the service process
Works closely with Service Operations and Global Service Quality to implement technologies across multiple products/processes in local and regional service depots and in the field
Identifies and solves complex problems without assistance
Owns or approves CAPAs; uses DMAIC tools to investigate and determine root cause of nonconformances
Supports internal and external audits. May conduct internal audits
May assist with validations at service depots/rental centers
May create or revise Quality Plans and procedures
Works with the Service Operations partners to ensure the service employees have the correct training assigned
May perform trend analysis of applicable product, process or system data. May prepare and present analysis results to the Management Review.
May approve the work of other employees. May supervise other employees
What you'll bring
BS in an engineering discipline
5 or more years' experience in Quality, Manufacturing, Service, Engineering or related field. Medical Device experience preferred
Firm understanding of GMP and quality system requirements
Experience with change control and CAPA methodologies
Proven communication, motivational skills, and tact in dealing with internal customers
Ability to interact optimally at all levels in the organization including senior management
Motivated self-starter, able to work independently, relate to multiple stakeholders, have good interpersonal skills, and capable of analyzing and solving sophisticated problems
Understanding of engineering subject areas
Proven critical thinking and strategic planning skills

At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $104,000 - $125,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change.
