PURPOSE

According to prescribed policies and procedures of the organization including all applicable state, federal and accreditation regulations and under the general supervision of the Director of People Development and Programs, this position assumes responsibility for developing and executing strategies related to the employee experience throughout the employee lifecycle. This role provides an employee-centric focus through offerings to facilitate team member growth, retention and organization's mission, vision, and values are carried out consistently within the assigned division(s).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Collects and analyzes feedback and measurable employee engagement metrics specific to the assigned division(s) to make recommendations to the Director of People Development and Programs that drive positive employee engagement.
Develops and implements action plans and effectively partners with internal departments to ensure success of employee engagement surveys.
Oversees the onboarding experience for assigned division(s) new hires, partnering with all departments to ensure an excellent onboarding experience.
Continuously evaluates and identifies innovative ways to streamline and enhance service delivery to maximize the employee experience.
Partners with internal stakeholders to help define career-pathing to support the retention and development of current team members.
Assists with development and overseeing employee recognition programs and other activities aimed at creating a positive workplace environment and culture.
Partners with internal stakeholders on employee communication supports, employee experience strategy, and to develop and deliver best-in-class employee experiences in the workplace promote efficiency, productivity, and peak performance.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Assists in assessing divisional needs to recommend how the organization can maintain a competitive advantage.
Participates in meetings and committees as relevant and requested.

EXPECTATIONS

Demonstrates and maintains a positive, professional manner, manages time efficiently and effectively, promotes a team approach, participates in appropriate problem-solving methods.
Must adhere to all policies, procedures, terms and conditions set forth in the National Church Residences Employee Information Guide (EIG) as well as any facility handbook including but not limited to corporate compliance, drug free workplace, safe work practices, all federal, state, local regulations and laws.
With respect to Client/ Resident Rights, ensures all care is provided with respect and dignity for residents, reports all complaints made by residents and/or families to the appropriate supervisors, reports all allegations of abuse, misappropriation of funds/client property and/or any other corporate compliance items immediately.
Completes all annual education requirements timely, including but not limited to Compliance, Privacy, Security and HIPAA training and exhibits behavior as set forth by the Code of Conduct in the performance of their duties.
Performs other duties as assigned.

JOB SPECIFICATION SHEET - Employee Experience Specialist

Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in human resources, education or a related field.

Experience: (1) Minimum of 2 years' supporting and implementing employee experience or related organizational culture programs or committees; OR (2) a minimum of 3 years' experience working in Senior Affordable Housing and/or Senior Healthcare Services. Those with both experiences (1) and (2) are highly encouraged to apply.

Travel: Some: 25-49%. Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance and qualified to drive under the organization's motor vehicle check.

Mental: Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English. Requires excellent communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills and have the ability to understand data and carry out verbal and written instructions.

Skills: Must have good working computer skills with basic professional computer software (Microsoft Office suite, Windows, etc.) and the capacity for learning new software systems quickly. Must be self- directed with excellent organizational and presentation skills and the ability to manage tasks and assignments concurrently. Must have strong motivational skills and a high emotional intelligence quotient (EQ).
