The External Workforce Associate will support and help execute the enterprise External Workforce workflow.

The external workforce process includes the identification, onboarding, tracking, support, reporting and off-boarding of the firm's external talent and associated agencies. The position will support the external worker workflow through the life cycle within the firm from equipping external workers with relevant RSM onboarding requirements, facilitating system access, aligning skillsets with identified needs, auditing effectiveness, and assisting the business leader with contract end processes to mitigate risks and costs to the firm.

The External Workforce Associate will work with the team to coordinate with the hiring/engagement leaders on service effectiveness and success rates according to organizational quality standards and policies.

Responsibilities
1. Support and help facilitate ongoing contract management workflow for the firm, leveraging new and existing relationships within the firm with ECS and ICS teams.

Monitors and assists with external worker workflow from on-boarding to off-boarding.

Maintains databases tracking all external workers and related contracts and deliverables such as cost, approvals, and service quality.

Assist with external worker assignment management (cost center changes, extensions, etc.) to ensure data integrity.

Coordinates with External Workforce Manager to ensure leadership, resource management, HR, and finance teams are satisfied that external worker obligations are met.

Provides constant interaction via email and phone with RSM end users, staffing supplier, and internal cross-functional teams

2. Relationship management & communication

Assists External Workforce Manager develop relationships with LOB and functional resource management, COE functional teams, and firm leadership

Coach, manage and oversee performance of participating staffing suppliers and vendors.

Provide ongoing trainings to new users of VMS technology and use of internal program.

Assists in facilitation between various contract approvers including NORM, Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and LOB

3. Development and Continuous Process Improvement

Assists to incorporate improvements of protocols, systems, and procedures to facilitate effective process for external workers and firm leadership

Participates in cross-functional teams, supporting them as risks or gaps are identified throughout the process

Develops understanding of talent processes (performance management, compensation, payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, LPD, etc.) and the interdependencies that exist with other functions (i.e. IT, finance, accounting, marketing, communications, etc. throughout the firm; works with External Workforce Manager to identify appropriate connectivity with external worker processes

4. Other duties and special projects as assigned

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)
Bachelor degree in related field preferred

TECHNICAL/SOFT SKILLS
(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)
Strong communication skills; clearly conveys information in writing and verbally. Able to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the firm, required
Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to motivate and develop individuals and teams to collaborate and deliver to their highest potential. required
Outstanding computer skills required. Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office applications required, as well as strong business solutions and project management skills
Demonstrated ability to work with others in a virtual environment to arrive at the desired outcomes. required
Effective organization and time management skills required
Strong attention to detail required
Operates with a sense of urgency required

EXPERIENCE
(MUST NOTE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED)
1 year of experience in staffing, recruiting, resource management, Human Resources or managing contingent workforce preferred
1 year of experience working with vendors/staffing suppliers/external workers preferred
Previous experience with VMS technology preferred
Previous professional services experience preferred
