Job Description Summary

The Lean Transformation Team (LTT) Program Manager leads the Lean Transportation Team – an elite, rotational organization part of GE Aerospace’s Lean Operations Organization focused on accelerating GE’s lean transformation and driving improvements in business segment results. The LTT Program Manager provides strategic and tactical leadership for the LTT. This position interfaces with all levels of the Company, across every business segment and region. The role is responsible for working with the Lean Operations Team, division/function leaders, and division/function Lean leaders to establish a customer-based strategy for LTT, which develops operational talent and drives sustainable results through lean, in line with business/functional objectives.

Job Description

As the LTT Program Manager key responsibilities will include:

+ Develop and communicate yearly strategy and priorities for the LTT organization, including monthly measures of success across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Ensure priorities are cascaded across all levels of the organization.

+ Utilizing voice of customer, evaluate and implement shifts to the organization, including strategic focus areas, size, and structure, learning and development, staffing and recruiting, and graduate placement.

+ Build and maintain a close partnership with business leaders, LBO team members, HR leaders, and LTT Advisory members to develop and implement relevant aspects of the organization priorities. This includes hiring the right talent, providing the right development experiences, and placing graduates into critical business roles.

+ Own resource management and planning process. Work with business leaders to scope rotational projects, ensuring they are tied to business Hoshin priorities and improving critical KPIs, while also optimizing the development of LTT Team Members.

+ Coach and develop team members of the LTT organization to help them build their lean skills and become lean practitioners. Coach and enable leaders and others across lean tools such as standard work, daily management, problem solving, and kaizen.

+ Own and execute the overall Lean Transformation Team talent strategy, including sizing, attracting, selecting, and hiring the best talent, in addition to ensuring a robust pipeline and off-program placement opportunities.

+ Drive the LTT learning and development strategy and execution for program participants. Partner with SMEs and vendor partners to manage all phases of the learning curriculum, including design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

+ A minimum of 5 years of experience leading in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Services, Digital, Commercial or P&L

Desired Characteristics and Experience:

+ A minimum of 10 years of experience leading in Manufacturing, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Services, Digital, Commercial or P&L

+ Prefer to have prior experience with or on a GE Leadership Program

+ Models the GE Behaviors (Humility, Transparency, Focus): this is mission-critical for all GE Leaders as an enabler.

+ Proven experience at creating and implementing processes.

+ Expertise in people leadership and development

+ Results oriented – must deliver sustainable results.

+ Ability to accurately assess key business metrics and situations from a senior leader perspective and leverage lean to drive improvement.

+ Able to influence others – must be able to inform, convince, and persuade other using lean to drive sustainable results.
