Summary About the Position: This position is with the US Army Cadet Command, 3rd Brigade Headquarters at Great Lakes Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, Illinois. Responsibilities Serve as the U.S. Army Cadet Command Brigade Human Resources Assistant (Military) and authority on Cadet/CADRE Personnel actions for the Brigade Commander. Assist the Brigade Recruiting Operations Officer (ROO) and Nurse in utilizing and running filters from CCIMS to monitor scholarship management and monitor the status of cadet nurses. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all Brigade cadet/CADRE actions. Serve as primary reviewer of Cadet Accessions documents from subordinate units for submission to higher headquarters. Serve as the Brigade Enrollment Eligibility/Retention Advisor for subordinate SROTC battalions. Provide staff oversight of and assistance to the Battalion Human Resource Assistants (Military). Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Review personnel documents for accuracy prior to uploading into an automated personnel systems; Conduct quality control checks of personnel documents to ensure compliance with regulations; Assist with the identification of database discrepancies to resolve issues; Utilize an automated system to prepare complex documents such as correspondence, orders, memoranda, forms, or reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-06) You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Clerical Computer Literacy Customer Service Organizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06). Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneā€”no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct deposit of pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized. Employee is required to attend C3PO 3rd week from EOD at Ft Knox. Relocation incentive may be authorized IAW agency policy. This incentive is not automatically authorized.
