Role/ Department: HR Program Analyst/Human Resources-Executive

The HR Program Analyst is responsible for analyzing, evaluating and improving organization programs. This role involves collecting and interpreting data, developing strategies and providing recommendations to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency. The program analyst collaborates with various departments to ensure programs align with key Northern Trust enterprise-wide strategies, goals and objectives. While this role is housed with the Human Resources function, the capacity and reach spans the entire organization.

The primary objective of this role is to provide support to internal clients on applications used across multiple divisions. Primary areas of responsibility include: BAU support, problem resolution, metrics, application administration, business analysis, and software testing.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Executes against the project plan, with timely delivery of action items and proactive follow-up.
Assist in developing, maintaining and implementing the training and communication materials
Assists with monitoring and controlling tools and applications timelines by performing the work to compare actual performance with planned performance Responsible with providing input and status updates to management as needed
Uses problem solving, critical thinking skills and independent thinking to overcome challenges
Adapts to cultural and organizational climates across global teams
Perform ad hoc requests as needed
Create metrics for the enterprise
Assist with testing enhancements as needed.

Skills/Qualifications:
2-3 years of experience with tools and applications with direct client support
Working knowledge of change management best practices
Technically competent to act as first point of reference for day-to-day queries, and serves as a liaison to related areas
Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in writing
Knowledge of MS Project and Excel
Excellent organizational and analytical skills
Demonstrates excellent analytical, consultative, communication and judgment skills.
Operates under general supervision but works on own most of the time
Focuses on maintenance and implementation of policies and procedures in the function, building towards becoming an area expert
