Job Description
Responsible for being part of a team of engineers that builds out the technology that powers our retail brokerage business and supports other business initiatives; modify existing systems, take on green field projects, and troubleshoot issues as they arise; work on front-end and back-end systems to expand and improve our product suite; work across different parts of the brokerage stack and front-end trading client applications under the supervision of a more senior engineer; translate requirements and technical direction into production-quality code; utilize pipelining, caches, multi-core systems, Verilog, MIPS assembly, C programming, and MIPS ISA to perform duties; write comprehensive tests for the code; participate in peer code review; engage in light infrastructure work to support application development work; continue growth by learning new systems and working towards ownership of brokerage’s systems; and participate in regular retros and code reviews with the web team and teams across the department to better our process and understanding.
Location: Chicago, IL and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $110,000 per year (standard company benefits apply);
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: None;
Other Requirements: Must have completed one (1) academic semester of coursework and/or academic research work which included use of all the following: pipelining, caches, multi-core systems, Verilog, MIPS assembly, C programming, and MIPS ISA.
Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
