Job Description

As a Mezzanine Technician, you operate the conveying and drying equipment necessary to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials to the injection machines. You Will

  • Report food safety issues to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Operate equipment to convey raw materials from rail cars to the raw material dryers.
  • Operate dryers, and ensures uninterrupted flow of raw materials to the injection machines.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and minor mechanical repairs.
  • Perform regular checks and readings, and regularly monitors materials flows.
  • Perform work in a safe manner, and is responsible for following all safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Take responsibility for product quality, as outlined in the plant Quality Operational Procedures and related instruction manuals and materials.
  • Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices GMP rules. Responsible for maintaining high standards relating to area housekeeping.
  • Work effectively with the Team Leader, Quality representatives, Utilities, and other team members.
  • Provide functional guidance to line Utilities as needed.
  • Have the authority to place product on hold and shut machines down.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

You Have

  • Ability to work the following schedule: 6:45 pm - 7:15 am on a cycle of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, repeat. This equates to 2 weekends per month off with a 3-day weekend
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Excellent mechanical skills, exhibited by related mechanical experience, or a minimum of a two year degree in Industrial Technology or equivalent, or a combination of education and related experience.
  • Strong Inter-personal and team building skills
  • Familiarity with computer applications
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical mechanical basic knowledge
  • Ability to troubleshoot & problem solve
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation

 

Youll Earn

  • $21.00 & up, based on experience
  • Night shift includes a shift differential of $1.00
