As a Data Scientist Senior Associate on the Data Consumption Team, you’ll work closely with your peers and Data Engineers to publish curated datasets and develop our graph database. You’ll support a product that provides visibility across data ecosystems to support the firmwide migration to the cloud and drive a more efficient and effective user experience. Your work will allow our employees to do more for our customers more quickly by producing curated datasets, dashboards, and metrics reporting about the data ecosystem that make it easier to understand.

Responsibilities:

+ Create innovative ways to solve business problems using an assortment of data science methods, algorithms, and techniques

+ Using your knowledge and technical skills to help drive our strategy and priorities

+ Collaborating across teams to deliver the best solution for data consumers, leveraging a wide range of internal resources

+ Helping stakeholders define their business problem and scope analytical solutions to address it

+ Building an in-depth understanding of the business and available data assets

+ Researching, designing, implementing, and evaluating analytical approaches and models

+ Executing analytics and prototyping solutions like curated datasets: collect and clean data from diverse data sources and locate new data sources, build and test solutions, supporting the plan to operationalize and scale them, etc.

+ Effectively communicating proposed solutions and the insights of your work to stakeholders

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

+ 2+ years of work experience as a data scientist or data engineer

+ Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Data Science, Machine Learning, etc.

+ Expertise in SQL and Python

+ Competence developing data as a product (i.e., curating and publishing datasets)

+ Proficiency performing analytics or publishing data in the cloud

+ Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem solving, and communication skills

+ Skill in practical data analysis and cleansing, modeling (machine learning, time series, NLP), and visualization

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

+ Experience building both relational and graph datasets/databases

+ Knowledge of the product lifecycle, agile frameworks, and data engineering

+ Demonstrated leadership ability with the ability to collaborate across teams

+ Creative self-starter with demonstrated strong work ethic

+ Strong track record of success as demonstrated by professional/educational background & accomplishments
