Job Summary

The Senior Director, Global Marketing and Enrollment will oversee a team in the end-to-end planning, creation, and execution of B to C and B to B integrated marketing, sales enablement, enrollment management and new program development to support Chicago Booth Executive Education revenue growth for open and custom programs. This role will lead the data-driven customer lifecycle management strategy and systems (Admissions and CRM) focused on prospect, key account and past participant engagement, application pipeline growth, enrollment, and lead generation for Open and Custom programs. This senior leadership role will report to the Associate Dean, Executive Education, have P&L responsibilities and a proven track record of successfully working with faculty to develop global non-degree programs (online, in person, hybrid). The Senior Director will hire, manage, and develop staff, manage external partner relationships and lead cross-functionally with peers at the University, Chicago Booth and the Executive Education team.

Responsibilities
  • As a senior member of the Executive Education team, participates in establishing objectives, long-term goals, policies, and procedures with Executive Education Associate Dean and Directors.
  • Collaborates with key partners, staff, and Executive Education faculty to develop, concept test and launch new open enrollment programs that meet the learning needs of current and prospective executive participants (in person, online, hybrid).
  • Develops trusted relationships with client organizations and top senders to promote Executive Education programs.
  • Develops/manages annual plan/budget for open enrollment programs that meet financial targets set by Booth.
  • Analyzes marketing, program, and financial performance quarterly, and implements corrective administration action when appropriate.
  • Develops, implements, and reports out on KPIs for revenue growth, operational efficiency, new faculty, and customer centricity metrics.
  • Oversight of all integrated marketing campaigns ensuring creative deliverables are met and aligned with overall campaign objectives for Custom and Open Enrollment Executive Education programs.
  • Ensures enrollment advisors nurture and convert open leads, and manages the sales pipeline for Custom and Open Enrollment programs.
  • Develops, owns, and maintains digital strategy including, UX/navigation, paid media, search, social, email and lead scoring, nurturing and CRM enablement.
  • Provides oversight of the end-to-end lead gen to admissions/enrollment ops process; owns enrollment platform and systems management (tech stack; Salesforce).
  • Manages outside creative and production vendors, digital partners, OPMs and agency relationships to maximize effectiveness; creates clear performance metrics with partners to be held accountable for performance.
  • Identifies latest trends, tools and best practices in non-degree program development and digital marketing outreach that can be applied to current and future marketing campaigns and programs.
  • Collaborates with University partners to ensure the Booth Executive Education brand and web presence is heightened for brand awareness and lead gen development.
  • Collaborates closely with Global Program Management and Global Operations Director to ensure consistent and high-quality program delivery process is maintained across all Executive Education programs.
  • Ensures compliance with Chicago Booth standards on internal and external marketing materials, brand guidelines, website, and client/participant data privacy requirements.
  • Assists direct reports in preparing budgets; authorizes and tracks vendor payment for marketing, advertising, enrollment, systems, and sales enablement functions.
  • Oversees the creation of new programs and/or the enhancement of existing programs.
  • Provides leadership to managers and other professional staff.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

  • Master's degree.

Experience:
  • A minimum ten years of relevant professional experience working in executive education, marketing and budget management.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team and driving result through the work of others.
  • Negotiating with partners and clients and managing contracts.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:
  • Proficiency with Marketo, Salesforce, Cvent, and Microsoft Office, especially MS PowerPoint and Excel.

Preferred Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of data-driven marketing, non-degree program design, faculty engagement, CRM systems and BtoBtoC sales enablement.
  • Strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, and ability to influence a variety of stakeholders at all levels. Understand, collaborate and work with a diverse group of constituents and cultures across the globe (faculty, clients, staff, participants, alumni).
  • Familiarity with the higher education market and ivy-plus business school experience.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills.
  • Executive presence and credibility to engage senior-level and C-suite clients.
  • Manage cross-functionally across an organization and work with internal and external partners.
  • Adapt quickly to and manage changes in daily workflow.
  • Understand and balance the different priorities of Executive Education.
  • Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a customer service-oriented approach.

Working Conditions
  • This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
