Job Description

The Opportunity:

Avantor, a Global Fortune 500 company is looking for a dedicated Associate Assembler to optimize our Masterflex organization. This Barrington, IL role is full-time, on-site.

Minimum Education Requirement:
High school / GED

Required Experience (1+ years):
Building various electro-mechanical assemblies using blueprints, bills of material and calibration specs
Plant safety concepts to include identifying and communicating potential safety concerns to the leadership team.
Business level communication skills, both written and verbal
Performs other duties as assigned.
Experience working in an electro-mechanical production assembly environment.
Soldering
Blueprint reading.
Test and calibration specs.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Preferred Experience:
Light material handling
PC skills

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Typically works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level. At times, may be exposed to a variety of different chemicals including flammables, corrosives, oxidizers and others. Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems. A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis. Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.
