Mars Food and Nutrition Perfect Store Category Analyst

This role is responsible for providing distribution, shelving, and display analytics to support Perfect Store advancement to enable the broader team to deliver objectives and required KPIs for both company and Customer(s) and scope appropriate decisions for the Category Leadership team. This role will also have responsibility to support customers on an as needed basis. Responsibilities range from reporting, analysis, planogram drawing, problem solving, project management, and turning data and analysis into actionable customer insights that shape the business.
What are we looking for?
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent work experience
- 1 year experience in Sales or Category Management
- 1 year of business analytics experience
- Experience working with syndicated data software (e.g., Nielsen, or IRI)
- Experience working with Microsoft Office programs specifically Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
Preferred:
- 2+ years of experience in Sales or Category Management in the CPG industry
- 2+ years of business Analytics experience in the CPG industry
- Complete understanding of the Category Management process
- Experience with JDA/Blue Yonder Space Planning software
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Support Display excellence across US Retailers through tracking, reporting, and analysis of execution and effectiveness of display
- Provide reporting and analysis of Distribution excellence across US Retailers including tracking of new item innovation and retailer reset activity
- Support Shelving excellence strategies that drive total category performance to include, but not limited to:
- Post-Planogram review analysis and Perfect Store scoring and reporting
- Development of planograms
- Assortment optimization and incrementality analysis and recommendations
- Display and Shelf Merchandising effectiveness reviews
- Provide analysis and consult on a variety of projects within the Category Leadership and Sales teams as well as Broker Partners regarding display, distribution and shelving
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of scale templates, including Rice Category 101, Category Review templates, Panel Data templates, etc.
- Assist in the analysis of syndicated and attitudinal data for trends, and make recommendations on opportunities to pursue
- Functional and technical expertise and primarily deliver results through themselves.
- Achieve goals by applying expert knowledge to make decisions and to influence others.
