Who We Are Looking For:
This position will work as a member of our Office Service team with the following primary responsibilities: coordinate and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, provide handyman services as needed, manage storage room and ordering and delivering of supplies, assist with setup and takedown of meetings, supply beverages to all conference rooms on a regular basis. Ideally, this person will have a keen eye for detail, be reliable and have a valid driver's license.
What You'll Do:
Mail - 35% of time
Pick up from Harvey Post Office mail delivered to approximately 20 PO boxes
Sort and deliver mail including packages
Deliver large items to local facilities, i.e., Hobart
Process incoming and outgoing mail including FedEx
Resolve missing packages and file claims as needed
Maintain logs for packages, i.e., FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.
Basic Maintenance - 30% of time
Purchase, retrieve, and replace damaged ceiling tiles
Hang pictures, posters
Create and hang nameplates
Raise and lower US and Atkore flags daily
Replace filters in air purifiers
Assemble furniture upon request
Ensure wall clocks are functional and with correct time
Coordinate printer and equipment repairs and maintenance, i.e., Quench and Hometown Vending for coffee makers
Assemble new chairs and other office service equipment
Supplies - Purchase and maintain inventory of office supplies available upon request by employees - 15% of time
Order through Office Depot online
Stock kitchen supplies for all areas
Order and maintain supplies for printers including toner, waste containers, drums, paper, etc.
Order and maintain FedEx supplies
Conference Rooms - 10% of time
Stock with beverages and supplies
Configure and set up upon request
Deliver folding tables and chairs upon request
Back up for maintenance of Company Fleet - 5% of time
Responsible for maintenance, tags, and refueling
Back up for coordinating archival services - 3% of time
Pick up boxes, maintain log for tracking, and schedule pickup
New Hires - 2% of time
Prepare offices and workstations upon request
What You'll Bring:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have a verifiable work record involving a service environment and high degree of people interaction
Must have a valid driver's license with an excellent driving record, including no violations for the last three years
Must possess excellent communication skills
Must be able to move and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Must be able to operate a rolling cart for the delivery of mail, boxes, and supplies
Must be able to work at a fast pace with a high degree of flexibility to move from one task to another based on internal customer demand
Strict attention to detail
Excellent customer service
Must have a basic level of computer proficiency, including prior experience with Microsoft Office products
Within 3 months, you'll:
Complete Atkore's onboarding and immersion program.
Gain an understanding of how your role ties into Atkore's mission and strategic plan.
Under supervision, perform basic mail processing, maintenance, and support tasks.
Within 6 months, you'll:
Independently handle all basic maintenance issues and work with supervisor as needed for external support.
Support Office Services team with mail processing.
Learn back-up responsibilities for company fleet and archival tasks.
Within 12 months, you'll:
Drive innovation within your role by streamlining processes to drive efficiencies in customer service.
