PositionHighlights:
*Position:Clinical Nurse Educator
*Location:Evanston Hospital
*Hours:Full time
*Shifts: Monday-Friday 7:30-4pm
*Required Travel:Some to Highland Park, Glenbrook, Skokie

What you will need:
License:Illinois State Nursing Licensure
Education:Bachelor's in nursing is required. Master's Degree is preferred.
Certification:Board certification in area of clinical specialty or in Nursing Professional Development within 1 year of board eligibility.
Experience:Demonstrated clinical nursing expertise with a minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in a clinical practice setting
Skills:Competent in oral and written communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills, basic competency in computer skills

What you will do:
Acts as a clinical resource to staff; maintains visibility in the clinical environment for just in time learning facilitation and/or assisting in providing direct patient care.

Collaborates with Clinical Nurse Manager and Clinical Coordinators to assess education and performance needs of staff. Serve as a resource to Clinical Managers/Clinical Coordinators in defining education and performance needs of staff.
Evaluates orientation and onboarding experiences to ensure newly hired team members are prepared to practice safely and independently.

Manage education and training processes/activities to foster learning using strategies that engage learners in critical inquiry, critical thinking, problem solving, and foster the development of competence in learners.

Mentors and evaluates preceptors to enhance learning experiences for all new hires.
