Position Overview
Entry-Level
Hours: Monday-Friday 6AM-2:30PM
The Kabar Operator is responsible for operations of BioDerm's urinary bag fabrication. The Kabar operation entails three positions of responsibility: part removal/end plug & housing fixture insertion; bag tare/end plug insertion; sheet layout and final positioning.
Job Summary and Responsibilities:
Remove dual part from fabrication tray.
Insert end plug into fixture.
Insert Housing part into fixture.
Separate the fabricated dual part into two separate individual parts.
Insert end plug into each bag.
Lay two plastic sheets between the end plug and housing assemble fixtures. Operate the machine's cycle.
Assist in insuring manufacturing, storage, shipping, and receiving areas are clean and well ordered per BioDerm's 6S principles.
Report to Assembly Team Leader, Production Manager, or BioDerm management with any quality or production problems. Work with supervisor and technical personnel to identify and install solutions.
Operate all processes according to BioDerm SOP and Quality Assurance specifications..
Maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment.
Maintain appropriate records to document production volumes and lot identification.
Store all equipment raw materials in a clean and well ordered condition.
Operate additional production equipment as needed.
Perform scheduled and required maintenance at the direction of the Production Supervisor
Troubleshoot and complete appropriate maintenance
Forklift repair
Perform emergency maintenance as required
Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis
All other tasks assigned
Education/ Work Experience:
Good communication skills.Knowledge and Skills:
Lifting 25 pounds, bending and reaching. Sight and hearing correctable to normal range. Clearly understandable speech required..
Flexible work hours and must be able to work extended hours as required.
