JOB DESCRIPTION
This key leadership role is responsible for coordination and oversight of the claim reimbursement team. This position is accountable for accurate and timely payment adjudication of non-emergent transportation claims for health plan and government agency contracts. Additionally, the Reimbursement Supervisor works closely with the accounts payable, billing and other operational departments to enforce compliance procedures to ensure that all claim payments are paid in accordance to the rules and regulations defined within our client contracts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise staff to ensure proper and compliant payment processes are applied to the adjudication of transportation provider and gas payee claims.
Create and maintain up to date departmental policies and procedures.
Identify, plan, and implement key projects to improve quality and increase productivity of the claims department.
Participate in the audit team to provide financial data which substantiates samples for client audits.
Analyze existing and create new reporting to identify payment compliance metrics for internal and external reporting purposes.
Collaborate with accounts payable, billing, fwa, network and other operational departments to resolve payment discrepancies and issues.
Review and approve payment adjustments and new vendor set up documentation.
Hire, train, mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel, and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and work to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results. Champion affirmative action efforts in all aspects of employment, including but not limited to staffing, training, promotion, etc. Responsible for compliance with and enforcement of company/department policies and procedures.
Know and follow Information Systems security policies and procedures. Attend Information Systems security training, when offered. Report information systems security problems.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with four to eight years of work experience in a related field
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisor capacity in a healthcare setting.
Minimum 5 years of recent healthcare experience.
Knowledge and Skills:
Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to multi-task and manage time independently.
Advanced computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Oracle experience preferred.
Client interaction experience preferred.
