Summary
The Roll Operator performs duties to maintain the production line. The Roll Operator is responsible for maintaining housekeeping for the area and to follow all safety rules. This position reports to the Production Supervisor but can also take direction from the QC Operator assigned to the area.
Essential Functions
Ensure the product meets specific dimensional criteria from the production lines onto pallets and within established productivity guidelines.
Ensures the product produced meets customers order caliper, construction and length.
Periodically inspects the product using a tape measure and dial caliper.
Ensures appropriate paperwork for production and quality purposes are completed daily.
Communicates with stacker regarding order status and quality.
Assists co-workers by strapping skids and moving empty/completed skids from work area using pallet jacks.
Maintains housekeeping in the area by moving scrap material to baler and sweeping and removing debris.
Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
Ability to use basic tools and inspection devices such as calipers.
