This is a virtual role, primarily supporting clients on the West Coast and Mountain States. Depending on location, opportunity to go into a satellite office is available.

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting Risk.
Responsible for market development to build business as an 'Agency Owner' and Advisor in assigned Territory. Requires a high level of autonomy, decision making & local marketplace leadership. Focus of client development and prospecting will be in larger, more complex markets such as AICPA designated G400 Firms.
Drive growth with existing and new clients through executing a strategic business plan & sales discipline approach. Achieve annual new business, retention and X-Sell revenue sales goals
Strategize and execute multi-year account development plans to take-away and/or expand business with existing clients in a very competitive segment of the market
Build and optimize relationships with Key Decision Makers; engage Prospects & Clients to uncover new opportunities. Frame issues, present facts and ideas in an effective way and provide recommendations with supporting rationale to influence outcomes
Leverage knowledge of and experience with multiple P&C insurance markets to make decisions on complicated risk solution designs. Decide what terms are offered, how they are packaged and presented to both Clients and new business Prospects. Negotiate best terms to win the business
Develop and leverage productive business relationships with key insurance underwriters
Establish & build a presence in the marketplace via multiple channels, including social/digital platforms.
Partner with colleagues across the firm to utilize appropriate resources for account service and prospect proposals
Leverage CRM platform to optimize pipeline development & sales forecasting, identify & present next-best-offers and improve Account Management actions
Own and optimize State Societies relationships and other industry associations to drive business growth & extend presence and reputation of Aon program
How this opportunity is different
The position of an Account Executive I (AE) is responsible for growing business in assigned Territory that is part of a highly visible National Association of Financial Professionals. Build local market presence for the member insurance program and for providing strategic advice and counsel in the larger, more complex revenue generating markets. AE is responsible for new business, retention and cross-sell revenue. Retention for this business runs at 94%+
Skills and experience that will lead to success
4+ years experience in the commercial insurance industry in sales or related business experience.
Well-developed communication and presentation skills
Organized, with great attention to detail and is deadline driven
Sales discipline and acumen
Experienced with CRM business development and prospecting actions
Consistently seeks opportunities to make improvements in policy coverage and service delivery to our clients
Demonstrates excellence; champions and leads with a can-do attitude
Is proactive & responsive
Effective and persuasive negotiation
CPCU, ARM or CRM preferred
Property & Casualty license must be maintained in order to accurately service clients and within the first 90 days of employment
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent years of industry experience.
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $80,000-$100,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
