Farm Maintenance Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Operate and service farm machinery, vehicles and tools
- Ensure farm vehicles and trailers are clean and road-ready
- Repair and maintain farm equipment and buildings based on defined schedule and/or as required
- Care for established lawns by mowing, mulching, trimming, and edging around flower beds, walks, and barn; Maintain lawn irrigation systems
- Prepare soil for planting; Apply insecticides; Monitor and control pests and weeds; Transplant shrubs and trees as needed.
- Fix and maintain fencing – replace broken components and paint as needed.
- Snow blowing as seasonally required
- Maintain HVAC filters in all buildings and maintain all farm lighting
- Organize farm equipment, tools, and the maintenance area to be conducive to effective use and present a professional image
- Maintain security and use logs for the fuel depot
- Coordinate service appointments when requirements are outside of individual skills
- Maintain cleanliness of the barn areas following all safety and sanitation rules and guidelines
