Accounting Advisory - Senior Associate

at Conway MacKenzie & Dunleavy Chicago in Chicago, Illinois, United States

Job Description

At its core, the work we do in AA is driven by change, which means that the projects are dynamic in nature and the impact of your work will be highly visible.

While much of your day-to-day work as a Senior Associate will involve supporting the team through client engagements (think: conducting research, developing client deliverables, and executing tailored project plans), you will quickly develop a strong advisory toolkit by directly interfacing with clients, digging deep into their problems in real-time, and delivering ongoing thought partnership. With experienced leaders to guide you along the way - including a dedicated performance advisor - we are invested in accelerating your growth.

Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or related field of study
Minimum 4 years of experience within an audit and/or industry accounting role
Working knowledge of accounting standards such as GAAP, GAAS, and/or IFRS
Experience with accounting research and writing
You have a passion for developing and maintaining client relationships
You enjoy working in teams to get the job done and have fun doing it
You thrive in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment
You readily identify problems and instinctively look for solutions
You demonstrate analytical rigor and strong written and verbal communication skills
You enjoy participating in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm eventsWhat You'll Do:
Use financial and accounting knowledge to advise clients as they navigate significant business transformation
Conduct research and analysis related to complex accounting and finance challenges associated with a variety of business changes
Partner directly with clients to support their needs and deliver high-quality projects
Develop memos, analyses, presentations, and other client-facing deliverables
Collaborate with senior leaders and project team members to execute workstreams and ensure deadlines are met
Provide coaching and guidance to junior team members
The expected pay range for this position is $80,000 - $150,000 (exclusive of bonus, equity, or benefits for which this role may be eligible). This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making individual compensation decisions including but not limited to experience and training; skill sets; licensure and certifications; location and other business and organizational needs; and applicable laws.
