Position Summary
The UIC School of Law, Chicago's only public law school, is seeking a Director of Strategic Initiatives and Projects. The Director of Strategic Initiatives and Projects is responsible for working with the Dean, other senior administrators, and faculty to oversee and facilitate projects that advance the law school's mission. This includes the coordination of accreditation and survey data collection, analysis, and reporting to the American Bar Association (ABA). The Director will independently manage multiple projects from inception to completion and help ensure that specified projects are meeting milestones, expectations, and deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities

Under the Dean's direction, the Director will develop, implement, and evaluate strategic initiatives and projects that support and promote the Law School's mission and core values.
Manage complex initiatives and projects requiring research, data analysis, and reporting.
Seek opportunities to collaborate with internal and external partners to promote the school's profile and objectives.
Serve as the ABA accreditation coordinator for all accreditation activities and ABA site visits.
With senior leadership, complete, verify, and submit accreditation reports and surveys that demonstrate the law school's compliance with ABA standards. Respond to ABA questions and requests for additional information.
Prepare and facilitate other major law school surveys and reports, such as U.S. News and World Report.
Coordinate events for the Dean's office.
Participate in University committees as a representative of the law school.
Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications


Master's Degree
Three years' experience in strategic planning, development, and implementation in higher education/university environment.
Demonstrated experience managing, analyzing, and reporting data.
A minimum of one year of supervisory experience.
Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
Proven ability to collaborate effectively and respectfully with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school or its equivalent from a foreign country.

The salary range is $90,000 to $110,000.
