The Quincy Kroc Center Youth department is dedicated to creating a safe and engaging space for children to learn, grow, and thrive. We believe that every child deserves a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence. As an After School Counselor, you'll be an integral part of our mission to provide exceptional care and educational experiences to children in our community.
Your Role:
As an After School Counselor, you'll be a mentor, a guide, and a friend to our young participants. Your days will be filled with exciting activities, meaningful interactions, and opportunities to inspire a love for learning. From helping with homework and leading group games to exploring arts and crafts, you'll play a vital role in shaping unforgettable afternoons for our students.

What You'll Do:
Assist children with homework assignments and provide academic support.
Plan and lead engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and intellectual growth.
Foster a safe and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and respected.
Collaborate with fellow counselors to create dynamic lesson plans and themed projects.
Communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on children's progress and activities.

What are We Looking For?
A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with children, parents, and team members.
Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of each child.
Previous experience in childcare, tutoring, or education is a plus.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Position Details & Perks:
Pay rate is $14/hour
Multiple openings as Part-time, working up 19 hour/week
One opening for Part-time, working up to 25 hour/week
Program hours are Monday-Friday 2:30-7:00pm
