Job Description

Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a meticulous and organized Legal Assistant in Park Ridge, Illinois. The role primarily involves providing comprehensive administrative support within the legal industry, including client interaction, document preparation, and managing calls and meetings for attorneys.

Responsibilities:

- Greet clients and visitors, ensuring high-quality customer service at all times

- Display confidence while interacting with clients over the phone

- Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys and other staff members

- Manage the opening of new files and ensure their proper organization

- Prepare and assemble various legal documents

- Handle scanning and copying of documents, maintaining an organized digital and physical filing system

- Schedule calls and meetings for attorneys, ensuring efficient time management

- Follow up with prospective and current clients via email and telephone

- Manage office supplies including kitchen and postage materials

- Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to the company’s standards and expectations

Skills:

- Proficiency in Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

- Familiarity with Billing Functions, Briefing, and Calendar Management

- Competence in Complaint Handling and Documentation

- Strong ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment Requirements – Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or in a similar role.

- Proficiency in Case Management Software, LexisNexis, and Management System.

- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites.

- Familiarity with Billing Functions, Briefing, Calendar Management, Complaint Handling, and Documentation.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize work as needed.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Proven ability to manage and maintain confidential information.

- Bachelor’s degree in Law or a related field is preferred.
