JOB SUMMARY

Leads and directs the sales/support team for the division. Supports margin, sales growth and increased customer relationships by identifying optimum product mix for customers and identifying customer cost-savings opportunities, implementation, inventory availability and issue resolution. Ensures sales team is informed of sales and relationship maximization opportunities by customer.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with healthcare executives and other critical decision-makers to drive Medline sales growth and develop effective solutions to meet customers' needs and expectations.
  • Evaluate account challenges and analyze customer data and provide a consultative approach in partnership with field sales and other Medline resources to fulfill customer needs and deliver on overall business goals
  • Create and execute the sales project plan(s) with internal support and resources to ensure successful implementation of Medline's product offerings and solutions
  • Lead customer product evaluations and implementations.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal and external sales and product managers to drive alignment to overall vision and goals set forth by leadership.
  • Identify optimal product mix by customer. Ensure product analysis and data presented to sales team is accurate and meaningful.
  • Identify opportunities to increase margin and develop tactics, strategies and sales programs for division.
  • Management responsibilities include:
    • Typically manages through multiple Managers
    • Provide leadership and management to one or more major departments of an operating unit or to a department that has system-wide accountability
    • Strategic, tactical and operational planning (12 months) for the function or department
    • Direct budgetary responsibility for one or more departments, functions or major projects/programs
    • Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects; develop, recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies
    • Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies



Education

  • Bachelor's degree.

Work Experience

  • At least 8 years of sales, marketing and/or product management experience.
  • At least 5 years people management responsibilities.
  • Experience analyzing and reporting data in order to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Ability to meet or exceed sales objectives.
  • Preferred experience selling in long-term care facilities, preferably incontinence and/or skin health-related products.
  • Communications planning and implementation experience (including the ability to integrate and coordinate various elements into an actionable plan).
  • Experience presenting and reporting on project plans and cost benefit analyses to appropriate stakeholders, executives and senior
  • Experience managing and supporting a sales team.
  • Willing to travel at least 80% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS

Work Experience

  • Experience working in a medical device or healthcare industry in sales.
