THE ROLE: Senior Azure Managed Services Engineer
Job Summary:
Presidio is seeking aSenior Cloud Managed Services Engineer Azureto join our team in a remote capacity.The Sr. Cloud Managed Services Engineerwill work with our customers on their mission-critical applications running on the AWS and Azure public clouds, providing both engineering guidance and technical support. Our team of engineers work hand in hand with our Professional Services teams, providing an end-to-end experience for our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth inside and outside of Cloud Managed Services. One thing about us - we don't like doing the same thing twice: our engineers work to improve our customer experience through automation, so we can continue to solve interesting problems for our customers!
Interview Note: Applicants may be asked to visit a nearby Presidio office for a face-to-face interview. Proof of active cloud certification(s) is required
Travel Requirements:
In this role you will be expected to travel up to 5%. It will be Remote based
Job Responsibilities:
Driver for the enhancement of the Managed Services delivery platform
Mastering engineering operational best practices to provide effective support
Being the subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and providing senior level technical guidance on all infrastructure-related systems, tools, and applications.
Deep experience and strong problem-solving in skills to individually debug, resolve and provide root causes for complex issues
Document resolutions to internal knowledge base and support cross training knowledge including leading training initiatives
Managing intake and escalations to the client and internal teams, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues and roadblocks without intervention
Improve the optimization, redundancy, and stability of cloud systems, including proactive monitoring and management of services
Flexible and willing to work outside core business hours as required, including on call and escalation support. Location covering continental US timezones,
Required Skills:
Automation: Terraform, Powershell, ARM Templates, Azure Automation
Identity & Access Management: Lighthouse, Policy, RBAC, PIM, AAD, Management & Resource Groups
Observability: Log Analytics, Network Watcher, Azure Monitor
Networking: Site-to-Site VPN, Virtual Network build and troubleshooting
Backup: Azure Native Backup and Patching Automation Creation
Active Cloud service provider certifications
Additional Desired Skills:
Previous Managed Services experience in a cloud environment
Express Route configuration and troubleshooting
Customer-focused support role history
Understanding of Azure CSP model
Azure Networking topologies
Security and Governance: Defender, Advisor, Sentinel
Datadog expertise
Kubernetes/AKS understanding & troubleshooting
Experience in multi/hybrid-cloud infrastructure support
Extreme ownership to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve new and complex technical issues
Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
Over all 6+ years experience in Cloud Technologies and Operations
