Job Description Summary:

Responsible for providing technical and administrative support for desktop computer systems, hardware and application software. Maintains knowledge of hardware and software in use to maximize efficiency of the network and users’ utilization thereof. May provide general support of select information technology resources such as telephone system, faxing, and printing operations.

Job Responsibilities:

+ Assists in providing computer and network support relating to desktop software and hardware problems reported by users.

+ Installs new software applications or hardware, coordinating assistance from third parties when necessary. Ensures desktops, laptops and other devices (phones, iPad, etc.) are up-to-date with software releases and antivirus software and settings.

+ Adds and maintains users on the network. Maintain network user accounts and assign appropriate resource security rights.

+ Assigns applications access, ensures security and assures standard configurations.

+ Assists in installation of workstations and printers on the LAN.

+ Sets up and deploys new client systems.

+ Troubleshoots repairs, maintains, and performs testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, and data communication and computer network systems.

+ Assembles, installs, configures, and tests computer equipment or units of local area networks requiring use standard interface protocol.

+ Completes work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices or creating components of autonomous networks, installing disk drives, correcting definitions on data switches and protocol converters.

+ Provides support to users relating to both hardware and software problems on their personal computers.

Supervisory Responsibilities: i.e. hiring, recommending/approving promotions and pay increases, scheduling, performance reviews, discipline, etc.

Basic Education and/or Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or certification from college or technical school plus 2+ years of experience in a Client Server environment.

Basic Qualifications & Interests:

+ Effective Verbal, written and technical communication skills.

+ Knowledge of Windows based products, PC operating systems and local area networks. Working knowledge of Cisco routers and switches.

+ Ability to provide technical help to both skilled and un-skilled employees using Company resources.

+ Knowledge of how to maintain, install and troubleshoot problems with software, hardware, LAN and servers.

+ Firm understanding of networking protocols and workstation configuration.

+ Assists with monitoring critical systems and environmental conditions.

Travel Requirements:

Willing to travel up to 15% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state).

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:

Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.

Pay Range is $26.15-$43.57
