Job Title: Project EngineerJob Description

Join our team as a Project Engineer, where you’ll serve as the primary customer contact, leading projects from quote to ship. This role involves preparing documentation such as BOMs, travelers, manufacturing routings, work instructions, and updated drawings. You will also collaborate with the operations team to implement optimized fabrication solutions and minimize risks typical of prototype and low volume production of complex products. Responsibilities include performing hydrogen leak tests and conducting pressure vessel, pressure relief, and thermal calculations as required. Additionally, you will participate in technical sales initiatives by developing cost estimates and proposals for RFQs, maintaining company certifications including ASME code certifications, and developing build plans for projects ranging in value from $5K to $1.5 million.

Hard Skills

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or advanced physics

+ Project management experience

+ Experience in either Welding or Machining

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&T

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Oak Lawn, Illinois.

Work Environment

Work in a small machine shop environment with roughly 35 employees. Standard hours are 7-4pm or 7:30-4:30pm, Monday-Friday. This position is onsite with no remote or hybrid flexibility. You will work alongside the Engineering Manager and Manufacturing Manager in a collaborative environment.
